The photos below are self-explanatory and
really need no clarification. The corresponding notes from Dr. Bob
and Sweet DW are included only to indemnify the EHS Class of 1967 and
its agents from accusations of libel, slander, various torts,
and personal injury. Also paramount is avoidance of undue duress in the dental
chair, bad teeth, thinning hair, frivolous lawsuits, secondhand cigar smoke, and other collateral
damage arising from the diabolical
acts of retribution between these belligerent alumni combatants.
From Bob Lee, 07/15/2007:
"Perhaps there is an appropriate place on the website for this
[notice of cancellation]."
From Don Carter, 07/16/2007:
"As you are aware, I was subjected to a vicious personal attack in
the Everett Herald by our classmate and my former friend, Bob Lee.
This was a misguided stunt resulting from my good faith publication
of a birthday card on January 14, 2006, in the Everett Herald. I
selected a portrait of Bob which was not only favorable to him, but
which also accurately showed him at his new found leisure.
Unfortunately, I guessed wrong when I selected the birthday - it was
actually only 58. Instead of letting this pass, as a gentleman
would do, and accept my sincere apology for stating the wrong
birthday by accident, he instead chose to attempt to hold me up to
the scorn, humiliation and ridicule of my classmates, friends,
family members, and professional peers. Needless to say I have been
damaged beyond all possible compensation. True to my sweet nature I
will be forgiving Bob, because that is what we are to do in this
life.
"Just so you can understand how tasteful the
card was and how good my intentions were, I have attached a color
copy of the exact card which was published in the Herald on January
14, 2006. I placed the best portrait of Bob into the public domain
on that date so it can be placed with this letter on the web site so
our classmates will know of the cruelty of Lee in this most
unwarranted verbal assault. If you could please forward this to
class members whose email addresses you have, it would be
appreciated. Best regards, DW"
